Polyethylene (HDPE/LDPE)

The Polyethylene family of products are suited for a wide variety of applications, especially, in environments where chemical and corrosion resistance is required. In addition, polyethylene's high impact resistance and tensile strength along with it's inherent low water absorption make it an ideal material choice in wet environments.

  • Borotron HDPE
High Density Polyethyline (HDPE) • Extruded Grade •Natural Color
Borotron HD050 is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) formulation enhanced with fiver percent elemental boron that has been used to provide extra shielding against neutron radiation. The combination of boron within a matrix of HDPE, a naturally hydrogen rich material, is used nuclear shielding applications. Hydrogen rich materials attenuate neutrons extremely well and boron has an affinity for absorbing thermalized neutrons.

  • Quadrant HDPE PRSD Finish
High Density Polyethyline (HDPE) • Extruded Grade •Natural Color
Quadrant's high density polyethylene (HDPE) is used in a variety of applications and industries where excellent impact resistance, high tensile strength, low moisture absorption and chemical- and corrosion-resistance properties are required. See also Quadrant HDPE Sanalite Finish.

  • Quadrant LDPE
Low Density Polyethyline (LDPE) • Extruded Grade •Natural Color
Low density polyethylene (LDPE) is an integral part of Quadrant's polyolefin product line. LDPE is more flexible than HDPE, which makes it a good choice for prosthetic devices, most of which are either drape formed or vacuum formed. Its impact resistance makes it a natural for impact pads, while its easy machinability makes it a good choice for fabricated parts where chemical and corrosion resistance is demanded.
